OrioChat is operated by holykhw. Legal, support, abuse-reporting, moderation-review, security, and account requests can be sent to [email protected].

These terms are written for OrioChat's actual service: one-to-one and group messaging, local-first chat history, media and file sharing, friend discovery, profiles, custom emoji, mailbox/letter features, push notifications, real-time push-to-talk voice, optional user-started cloud backup or restore, store entitlements where enabled, and advertising where enabled.

These terms are also written for post-launch operation at scale. Safety reporting, moderation decision notices, appeals, law-enforcement requests, incident response, and transparency practices are handled under the Safety, Reporting, and Transparency Policy.

OrioChat is not an emergency communication system, public-safety dispatch service, medical service, legal service, financial service, or other safety-critical service. For emergencies, use your local emergency number or official emergency service. Do not use OrioChat where applicable law, sanctions, export controls, platform rules, or local network restrictions prohibit use.

YouTube API Services terms

By using OrioChat's YouTube Music playlist-sharing feature, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. OrioChat displays YouTube-provided playlist information and directs playback to YouTube Music. You must not use OrioChat to download or separate YouTube audio, enable unsupported background or offline playback, circumvent advertisements or access controls, alter YouTube metrics, or violate YouTube policies or applicable law.

Effective August 26, 2026, this YouTube API Services section is an immediately effective addendum to OrioChat's currently applicable Service Terms. By using OrioChat or a feature powered by YouTube API Services on or after that date, users agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

App software and intellectual property

Except for user content and third-party materials, OrioChat and its app, software, source and object code, designs, interfaces, graphics, logos, trademarks, documentation, and service materials are owned by or licensed to OrioChat and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these terms, OrioChat grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use an official supported copy solely to access and use the service as permitted by these terms. Except where applicable law expressly permits the activity despite this restriction or OrioChat gives prior written permission, you must not copy, clone, reproduce, modify, translate, adapt, create derivative works from, distribute, publish, sell, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app or those materials; reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive source code; remove ownership notices; bypass security, access controls, or technical protections; or use OrioChat branding, interfaces, or materials to create or distribute an unauthorized or confusingly similar app or service. These restrictions do not limit rights granted by applicable open-source or third-party licenses, mandatory law, or rights in your own content. Violations may result in access restrictions, suspension, termination, and legal action where permitted by law.

AI voice imitation and parody for live push-to-talk

OrioChat's preconfigured AI voice models transform the user's own speech in real time for push-to-talk communication. The feature is intended for entertainment, roleplay, imitation, and parody within the limits of applicable law.

AI-transformed audio is generated from the user's speech. It is not an actual recording, statement, or expression of views by the person, celebrity, voice actor, or character that the voice may resemble.

Unless OrioChat expressly identifies an official license or partnership, model names, descriptions, and voice similarities do not indicate approval, sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement by any person, celebrity, voice actor, or rights holder of a work or character.

For voice features, references to prohibited impersonation in these Terms and the Safety Policy mean impersonation intended to deceive others. Users must not use transformed audio for deceptive impersonation, fraud, threats, defamation, or infringement of another person's rights. OrioChat may restrict use or take other action under applicable law and these Terms.

AI voice changing is not sold separately and carries no separate usage fee. It is provided at no additional charge as an extra benefit to users who support the app's operation and improvement through an active subscription to standard voice changing.

Temporary AI voice-changing subscription benefit

AI voice-changing features are currently provided, for a limited time, as an additional benefit available at no additional charge to users with an active subscription to the standard voice-changing service. This benefit is not a separately purchased product and does not constitute a permanent or guaranteed component of the subscription. OrioChat may change the available voices or suspend or discontinue all or part of the benefit for operational, technical, licensing, legal, or business reasons. Any change that materially disadvantages users will be announced at least 30 days before it takes effect through the app, these Terms, or another reasonable method, except where immediate action is reasonably required by law, security, service integrity, third-party rights, or circumstances beyond OrioChat's reasonable control. Rights that cannot be limited under applicable law remain unaffected.

Changes to these Terms

OrioChat may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, security, service functions, paid features, third-party requirements, or operations. Material changes that disadvantage users will be announced through the app, the published Terms, or another reasonable channel before they take effect where required or reasonably possible. Changes may take effect immediately when needed for law, user safety, security, fraud prevention, service integrity, or third-party rights. The published date and effective date identify the applicable version. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance; users who do not agree must stop using the affected service and may delete their account. Mandatory rights that cannot be waived remain unaffected.

Shared policy for all supported regions

The shared policy applies across all supported regions. Regional provisions are also shown in full to every reader and apply to the regions they name. Mandatory local rights remain unaffected.

Voice-changing and AI voice features may be used only lawfully. Users must not use altered or AI-generated audio to impersonate or mislead, commit fraud, harass, threaten, conceal unauthorized recording, evade enforcement, or infringe privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, consumer-protection, or other rights. Users are responsible for obtaining required consent, clearly disclosing that audio is altered or AI-generated when required by law or context, and for claims, losses, penalties, or disputes arising from their use. OrioChat does not endorse user-created altered audio or warrant that a voice is unique, licensed, non-infringing, or lawful for the user's intended use. To the extent permitted by law, OrioChat is not responsible for user misuse; nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Violations may result in feature restrictions, suspension, termination, and cooperation with valid legal process consistent with applicable law and the Privacy Policy.

By creating an account or using OrioChat, you agree to use the service lawfully and responsibly. OrioChat provides messaging, media sharing, friend, profile, notification, and real-time push-to-talk voice communication features.

You are responsible for your account activity and for content you send. Do not use OrioChat for harassment, threats, illegal content, spam, impersonation, unauthorized recording, privacy invasion, exploitation, malware, fraud, or conduct that interferes with the service or other users.

You keep the rights you have in profile content, custom emoji, names, images, and media you publish, but you grant OrioChat a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, translate, format, moderate, remove, and make that content available as needed to operate, protect, and improve the service, comply with law, and enforce these terms.

You must keep your account credentials, devices, and login methods secure and must not sell, transfer, share, or lend your account to evade enforcement or let another person misuse OrioChat. Notify OrioChat if you suspect unauthorized account access or a security issue affecting the service.

You are responsible for keeping the device you use with OrioChat secure. Using modified operating systems, bypassed device security, malware, unauthorized automation, or unsupported app copies may make OrioChat unreliable and may expose your account or data to risk.

Account takeover, unauthorized account use, and creating or operating multiple accounts to evade enforcement, impersonate others, manipulate the service, spam, harass, commit fraud, or conduct illegal activity are prohibited. Users, accounts, chats, groups, devices, identifiers, or payment paths operated for illegal or abusive purposes may be restricted, removed, suspended, or permanently banned together.

Abuse of push-to-talk voice, chat, custom emoji, media, reports, or any other feature to harass, bully, exclude, insult, impersonate, or target another person or group may result in content removal, feature limits, account suspension, or permanent ban. Exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities, attempting unauthorized access, disrupting the service, evading enforcement, or helping others do so may result in immediate permanent suspension and legal action where allowed.

OrioChat may limit, suspend, or remove accounts, content, features, or access when needed to operate the service, protect users, comply with law, investigate abuse, or enforce these terms. Features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OrioChat is provided as available and without a promise that every feature, message, media item, backup, notification, voice session, ad, entitlement, or third-party integration will be uninterrupted, error-free, recoverable, or available at all times. OrioChat is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, device issues, network failures, third-party outages, store/payment-provider decisions, or user content, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

OrioChat requires network access for online features. Your carrier, internet provider, store, cloud provider, or payment provider may charge data, roaming, subscription, storage, or transaction fees under their own terms. You are responsible for those third-party charges and for installing updates needed to keep using supported features.

OrioChat chat is local-first. Chat history may be stored primarily on your device, and cloud backup is an optional feature that you must explicitly start. If you delete local data, lose a device, uninstall the app, or use a new device without a cloud backup, some chat history may not be recoverable. You are responsible for keeping your device and account secure.

Cloud storage and cloud backup may be subject to storage limits, eligibility checks, upload and download availability, account status, and product plan limits. Secret rooms are excluded from export and cloud backup. Deleting a cloud backup removes the server-side backup record and storage object where technically available, but it does not delete local copies already restored to a device or copies held by other users.

Secret rooms provide additional product restrictions and supported client-side encryption for text, but they must not be used to evade law, safety rules, reports, or enforcement. OrioChat does not promise that every message, media item, metadata field, voice communication, push event, diagnostic record, or report-related record is end-to-end encrypted.

Paid features, subscriptions, advertising, or promotional programs may be offered. Any purchase terms shown in the app, Google Play, Apple App Store, or the applicable payment provider apply to those transactions.

Except where applicable law, store policy, or payment-provider terms require otherwise, digital benefits that have already been delivered, activated, used, consumed, downloaded, redeemed, or made available for the paid period are not refundable. Third-party services used with OrioChat, including app stores, sign-in providers, cloud services, payment providers, advertising providers, music preview providers, and transport or diagnostic services, may apply their own terms and policies.

Ads shown in OrioChat are not endorsements by OrioChat unless explicitly stated. Personalized ads, non-personalized ads, limited ads, ad measurement, and advertising privacy choices are handled under the Privacy Policy and Ads and Privacy Choices page.

These terms do not promise refunds except where required by applicable law, store policy, or the payment provider's terms. Account deletion does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription; subscription cancellation must be handled through the store or payment provider where the purchase was made.
